Brian J. Riker has been involved in the transportation industry for more than three decades. His career in specialty transportation began as a diesel mechanic and school bus driver trainer. Obtaining his Commonwealth of Pennsylvania CDL Third Party Examiner Certification, Brian began administering the CDL skills and road test examinations in 1993.

From there Brian has grown to own or manage several commercial fleets ranging from a one-truck owner/operator firm specializing in auto transportation to most recently, where he served as Director of Transportation and Safety for one of the largest auto recycling firms in the United States.

He holds a valid Vehicle Safety Inspection Certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and maintains a clean, valid Class A CDL with tank, hazardous materials, double/triple trailer and passenger endorsements.

Throughout his career Brian has logged over two million miles in various commercial motor vehicles, including light duty and CDL required auto transport equipment, tow trucks, school and coach buses and traditional tractor trailers with dry van, refrigerated, lowboy/flatbed and tanker trailers.

Brian has provided expert witness work related to Standard of Care and Customer Education Requirements related to small fleet operations in specialized markets. His other areas of expertise include Hours of Service (log books and ELDs), driver training, driver license skills examination, pre-hire qualification investigations, motor vehicle operation, driver/fleet standard of care, maintenance, repair and inspection of commercial motor vehicles and non-traditional fleets such as private operations by plumbers, electricians, construction companies, mobile service operations and more.
