Sherry Young

Occupational Therapy

Sherry Young is a certified Occupational Therapy Expert with over 35 years of dedicated experience in the field. Sherry’s proficiency in Occupational Therapy covers a variety of areas including orthopedic, neurological, and cognitive deficits. She also performs post-offer pre-placement screens, job site evaluations, and functional capacity evaluations (FCEs). Sherry’s depth of experience led her to a career as an expert witness where she provides FCE services in personal injury, employment, family, and disability cases in both state and federal courts. 

In 1992, Sherry spearheaded an occupational therapy department at The Colorado Rehabilitation Institute, swiftly rising to the role of Chronic Pain Program Supervisor. Her responsibilities included overseeing physical, occupational, biofeedback, and recreational therapists as well as psychotherapists. It was there that she began specialized training in the field of FCEs. 

Since 1997, Sherry has operated a thriving private practice centered on occupational rehabilitation and FCEs. Sherry has been qualified as an expert witness since 2002, amassing extensive testimony experience. She is widely recognized as the go-to therapist for FCEs in the Denver region, known for producing individualized, and in-depth reports that are highly defensible.
